How Cabin Drinks may be used, and what happens to information it touches. Last updated August 2026.
Not a substitute for legal advice. This page is written in plain language by the person who built Cabin Drinks, not by an attorney. It's meant to set clear, honest expectations — it isn't a guarantee of legal protection for you or Cabin Drinks.
1. What Cabin Drinks is
Cabin Drinks is an independent tool built by a flight attendant to help cabin crew organize food and beverage orders during a flight. It is not a company product — it's a personal project, offered free of charge, made available at drinks.hizach.com.
2. Not affiliated with any airline
Cabin Drinks is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or connected in any way to any airline. It does not replace your airline's official tools, manuals, or procedures. Always follow your employer's current policies, service standards, and safety guidance — if anything here ever conflicts with those, your airline's rules come first.
3. Acceptable use
Cabin Drinks is meant to be used by working cabin crew to organize onboard service. Please don't:
- Enter passenger names or other personal information about passengers — Cabin Drinks is intentionally built to work with seat numbers only.
- Use the tool for anything unlawful, or in a way that could put passenger safety or your compliance obligations at risk.
- Attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer for malicious purposes, or overload the service (for example, automated scraping or abusive request volume).
4. No warranty
Cabin Drinks is provided "as is," with no warranty of any kind, express or implied — including no guarantee that it will be accurate, uninterrupted, error-free, or available when you need it. It's a side project maintained on a best-effort basis, not a certified operational system.
5. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cabin Drinks and the person who built it are not liable for any damages or losses arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app — including lost data, service errors, or reliance on inaccurate information it displays. You use Cabin Drinks at your own discretion and in addition to, never instead of, your airline's required procedures.
6. What stays on your device
Seat assignments, drink and food orders, and your loaded First Class food menu are stored locally on your device (in browser storage), not in a central account or database. They're not visible to anyone else and aren't transmitted anywhere as part of normal use. Clearing your browser data, or using "Clear all" in the app, removes them for good.
7. What does leave your device
A few features send limited information off your device in order to work:
- Menu photo scanning. If you use "Scan a menu photo," that photo is sent to a third-party AI service to read the food item names, then discarded — it needs an internet connection at that moment and isn't stored by Cabin Drinks afterward.
- Crew updates signups. If you enter your email address to join the update list, it's stored with Supabase (our database provider) and used to send email through Resend (our email provider) — a welcome message and occasional feature updates. You can unsubscribe at any time via the link in any email.
- Aggregate site analytics. The public website uses Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand overall traffic and adoption. This is aggregate and does not include passenger names, seat numbers, or order contents.
None of this includes passenger names or passenger-identifying information — Cabin Drinks doesn't collect that in the first place.
8. Email communications
If you sign up for crew updates, expect only occasional messages about meaningful new features, important fixes, or opportunities to try something new — no spam, and you can leave the list anytime.
9. Children
Cabin Drinks is a professional tool meant for working cabin crew and is not directed at children. It isn't knowingly used to collect information from anyone under 16.
10. Changes to this page
This page may be updated as Cabin Drinks changes — for example, as new features are added or new third-party services are used. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision.
